And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2 (NASB)
You may be visiting this blog for the first time, and you are puzzled. You may not understand what this scripture is about. If you do not know Jesus, you can. I first came to know Him at the age of seven while in a revival service. When the speaker asked if anyone wanted to give their lives to Jesus, I responded.
We are all sinners, people who have done many wrong things. We all have been born into a world full of evil. It means apart from God, are hearts and minds can desire to do what is wrong. God, the creator of this world, sent His Son, Jesus to save us from the power that held us captive to doing evil instead of doing what is right.
I made a choice as a child to turn to God. I wanted to be free from sin, doing the wrong things. When I asked Jesus to forgive me and be my Savior, He came into my heart, and began to help me to say no to doing the things that were wrong. As I read His Word, the Bible, I began to think differently. This is what it means to be transformed, to be changed.
My wrong thinking and desire to do wrong, changed. I began to think differently. I began to take on the likeness of Jesus. He is perfect love. I began to be kind and loving. I began to forgive others more easily. Jesus gave me and still gives me the power to do what is right.
Be encouraged! God wants you to have a renewed mind. He wants the best for your life. If you ask Him, He will come into your life and help you to think and do what is right in every situation.
