We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error. (1 John 4:6 ESV)
Families are a place of joy and laughter. I enjoy it when we all get together but it may not be for everyone. Many may have had families where conflict and sadness are present, and it is not a joyful time getting together.
There is hope though, when you surrender your life to Jesus, you become a part of the family of God and there is joy when everyone gets together.
