Declutter
God is showing me my need to slow down. Slowing down can be difficult. After all, I have obligations to fulfill and assignments to complete.
Being in the hospital with sepsis has opened my eyes. I am not as young as I used to be, my schedule does not need to be as full. I need to declutter what is not needful. What I thought was important or needful before may not be now.
I need to rest in the Lord. He will help me to decipher what I need to let go of.
But few things are needful—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her. (Luke 10:42 NIV)
Mary chose to sit at the feet of Jesus while He taught the others. Martha, her sister, was busy with cooking and serving.
