When Seasons Change
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)
My daughter came home from living in Florida for ten years. She was making a great living, but the cost of living was a lot higher in Florida than in Ohio.
Recently she started a job making seven dollars less on the hour. When she received her first paycheck, she was disappointed and questioned her move. I told her not to complain, but to seek God.
I reminded her of God’s faithfulness to her when driving back to Ohio and landing a job in five weeks. I told her that God has a plan. I reminded her of how the Israelites complained even though God took them out of Egypt with a mighty right hand.
It is easy to complain when seasons change, but if we can hold on to God, He will show us His perfect plan, and it is always better than what we deserve
