Therefore, be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. (NASB)
We are living in days of uncertainty. We hear of shootings, robberies, and war. We need to be alert, watching for the return of Christ. He is coming and His word tells us that His return we be like in the days of Noah.
The people were eating, drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage until Noah had entered the ark. This was before the flood.
The world was full of wickedness and God was sorry that He had made mankind. (Genesis 6:6) This is when He called Noah to build the ark. It took many years to build so the people had a long time to repent of their wickedness.
When it was time for the flood and Noah and His family and all the animals and species had entered the boat, God shut the door, not Noah. No one was able to open the door.
This is how it will be when God says the time has come for Him to gather His children from the earth. Only those whose names are written in the Lambs book of Life will enter heaven. The door will be shut once again. The time of salvation will be ended and the time for judgment will begin.
If you do not know Jesus as your savior, there is still time. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart and lead you. Confess that you know He has come and died on the cross that you could have eternal life. If you pray from your heart and truly mean it, He will come in and you will be born again of the spirit. It is not His desire that any should perish.
