God Keeps His Promises- Genesis 9:13-16 (NASB)

I have set my rainbow in the cloud, and it shall serve as a sign of a covenant between me and the earth. It shall come about, when I make a cloud appear over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud, and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the rainbow is in the cloud, then I will look at it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth. (Genesis 9:13-16 NASB)

Last night, we had a hard rain and during the rain, the sun appeared. I ran to the window looking for a rainbow. I have learned that many times when it rains, and the sun comes out, a rainbow will appear.

Sure enough, as I looked out my kitchen window, there it was, a wide bow in the sky. It was beautiful. I thought, as I gazed at it, of the many times in my life when I was facing a decision that I needed to make, I would see a rainbow and I felt like God used it to direct me. I felt as if He was saying, “You are going in the right direction.” I felt He was confirming the direction that I was taking.

After the flood in Genesis chapter nine, God told Noah that He would never destroy the earth again with water. He told Noah that when He saw the rainbow in the cloud, He would remember His Covenant and He has kept His promise to all of us.

Be encouraged! God is faithful to keep His promises to you. What He has spoken in His Word is truth. He will guide and direct your steps.
