Should my happiness be dependent on others and on things always going my way? The answer is no. My happiness should be found in Christ, His death and Resurrection. If I know that He reigns in my life, then all the negative thoughts and feelings that try to fill my heart, must be cast down. I must not give them power over me.
If I fill my heart with God’s word and prayer each day, I have started well. I must remember when lies come against me, I have the word in my heart to speak out against it.
Be Encouraged! Choose happiness, even if all falls apart around you, He will make a way for you.

I love the last lines of your post, but the last words are the best, ” He will make a way for you.”
I tend to forget that when I get overwhelmed from this world. You write well and give good advice. I must make time for prayer and reading first thing in the morning to help me through the day. When I do, my day goes much better and more peaceful. I just let worries creep into my mind and hit the floor running…instead of slowing down and connecting with God and His peace, which I sorely need. Thanks for the reminder.
