If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us form all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9-10 ESV)
I love working in my flower bed, but I dislike all the leaves. One of my beds is on the north side of my husbands’ garage, and it catches all our neighbors’ leaves. It took me two hours to rake. All the bending and reaching has worn me out.
Sin can creep in just like all the leaves in my flower garden. I confess my sin and ask Jesus to forgive me and just when I think all is going fine, the leaves of sin blow in and I must deal with it right away or just as the fall leaves fill my garden, my heart will be full of unwanted sin like strife, jealousy, anger and more.
Jesus tells me that when I confess my sin, He is faithful to forgive me.
Be encouraged, if you find yourself in a place where sin has crept in just like my unwanted leaves, quickly pray and ask Jesus to forgive you. He is just to forgive!
