What does discipleship look like? For me, it starts with being a friend. I like to take the time to get to know a person. Listening is a big part. It shows me how to pray. Over time, my new friend begins to trust me and then I can share the gospel as the Holy Spirit leads.
God tells me, in His Word, to make disciples, followers of Jesus Christ. If I am a follower of Christ, that means I have a personal relationship with Him and apply what the Bible, His Word instructs me too.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19 NIV)
