But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)
The fruit of change comes when, as a believer in Jesus Christ, I allow the Spirit of God to clean me up. (For those who are in Christ Jesus are a new creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17 para).
As I read God’s Word, I begin to look and act like Christ. I no longer want to cuss, gossip, lie or cheat. If I do these things, I become convicted of sin. I realize I must repent, ask for forgiveness and walk away from such practices.
When the fruit of change comes, I begin to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit. I begin to love my neighbor, stop swearing, have more patience, joy and peace. You see, when the Spirit of God comes into my heart to dwell with my spirit, all wrongdoing must go.
Be Encouraged! Change must come if you are a child of God. When it does, others will see fruit.
