Most days, I do well but then, one of those thoughts enters my mind. I try to discard it, but it keeps coming full force. I must stop and take that thought captive and shift to a scripture that I have memorized.
The bible tells me to resist the devil and he will flee. Let me tell you, it takes practice. Lately, I have been missing the mark and letting words fly. Instead of not responding to snide remarks, I have responded harshly.
Each day is an opportunity to combat against the onslaughts of the enemy, and we can succeed if we yield to the Holy Spirit.
