I must ask myself, “how can I be a better follower of Christ? What am I doing that I need to stop doing and what do I need to do that I am not doing?” A loaded question. I know I can be a better listener.
I know when I listen, I gain insight on how to better pray for a person or situation. I must realize when I do not completely listen, I am not respecting the one talking.
Be Encouraged! If we look at ourselves and ask ourselves that question, we might be surprised what God shows us.
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (James 1:19 NIV)
