I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day- and not only to me, but also who have longed for His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:7-8 NIV)
There is no doubt that we, as believers, are in a battle but we need not worry or be discouraged. Jesus has won the victory over sin and has given us the tools to fight and win. We just need to use the tools. The word of God is powerful.
When the enemy comes knocking, we are to use scripture to combat against him. As we keep our eyes on Jesus and trust in His Holy Word, we will be victorious.
Be Encouraged! As we run this race, Jesus is the prize we obtain in the end and He is worth all the difficulties that we face and remember, we are not alone. He is right beside us.
