Sing praise to the Lord, you His godly ones, and give thanks to His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:4-5 NASB)
I have lived many years and many of those years have been joyful and others sorrowful. Sometimes I have caused my own grief. I have made choices that were not good and because of those choices, I have brought sorrow upon myself. It is when I cried out to God to help me that joy filled my heart.
I gave a shout of praise because I saw His love amid the sorrow. I endured the sorrow and learned something positive from going through it. Even when I did not cause the grief, I still learned of God’s faithfulness during it.
Be encouraged! If you are amid grief, whether you have caused it or not, God is faithful to help guide you and teach you as you go through it.
