I was so embarrassed when I realized I had put the wrong time in my calendar for the women’s event that I had planned on attending. When I arrived and saw the parking lot full of cars, I knew I had missed the mark. What was so upsetting was that my good friend was the speaker at the event. I missed all but the last thirty minutes.
I can miss the mark with God too. When I fail to put Him first in all I do, and allow other things to distract me, I fall short. I know that there is always something to learn through it all. I must humble myself and allow God to show me what I am to learn from missing the mark.
Be Encouraged! We can all miss the mark sometimes. When we do, God is always willing to teach us why.
