I used to be all about life as we know it, but since I have surrendered my life to Christ, all has changed. I no longer seek fulfillment in this world. I no longer desire earthly possessions; that has come with wisdom and time.
I cannot say that I have always felt this way. I used to be empty. I tried to fill my life with people and material things that did not satisfy the need to be loved.
When Christ entered my heart, He changed the way I think. He filled my heart with the love I was longing for. He showed me how to enjoy life in Him.
Each day is filled with joy even if I awake feeling depressed or with anxiety. It is not long before all disappears, and joy takes over. I know I am in a battle. The evil one wants to still my joy and peace, so I must resist. The joy of the Lord is my strength, Jesus lets me know that this battle will not last forever. I have an eternal home that awaits me.
Be Encouraged! If Jesus is your Savior, you have an eternal home. It is a place of joy and perfect peace, a place without sorrow, sin or strife.
