For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”. (John 3:16- NIV)
It is always wonderful when I get good news. A raise on my pension, a new baby coming, a health check that came back with a good report, are all good news.
God tells me to share the good news about His death and resurrection. He wants others to come into the kingdom. I need to share my story of how he brought me out of a life of sin and despair into a life of blessing.
He has redeemed me. The life I once lived is in the past. He washed my sins away and has given me a new life in Him. I am no longer under the curse of sin and darkness. Until I asked Jesus to forgive me and be the Lord of my life, I was under the curse of sin, and I could not fight against it.
In fact, the whole earth is under the curse of sin. The only way to break the curse is through repentance. The minute a person repents and turns from sin, the curse is broken. It is then the person must continue walking justly before God through surrender, surrender of self.
