Give Me a Drink- John 4:15

Recently, I attended a woman’s conference where I served as worship leader. It was an amazing time. Over thirty women attended for a three-day weekend held at Camp Wanakee just outside of Beach city, Ohio.

The theme name was “Drenched” led by Pastor Kim Vanoster who is the pastor at Newcomers Chapel Church. The scripture was John chapter 4. The topic was the woman at the well.

How many times do we find ourselves thirsty? We try and fill our thirst with so many things that can never quench the deep thirst of our soul. We search but we cannot satisfy the depth of our emptiness.

I have been in a dry place. I know, for me, that time with my Savior is the only thirst quencher. He fills my heart to overflowing and I am full. He is the place that I must run to each time I am empty.

Being in ministry can drain my soul because I am pouring out to those in need. I love giving all that I have to the elderly who desperately need to be fed the word of God. They long to hear the hymns of old and sing along with all their hearts.

I am blessed to be given opportunities from God to fill others thirst for His word and worship. He is always faithful to fill me again and again as I come before Him. He is the source for the weary and dry soul.
