He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and observe it.” (Luke 11:28)
Have you ever listened to the birds early in the morning when all is quiet and try to identify them by their voices. It requires listening. It also may require some research on each specie.
Listening is important to know the best way to do something or possibly a new route to follow. You may be wanting guidance for an important trip you are taking. If you do not listen and follow the itinerary, you may become lost.
When you are reading God’s word, it is not only important to read and take in what it says, but to be willing to take heed of it. It is for you to follow, to apply its principles and in the process, grow.
Each day, you may find a nugget from God’s word that you have never seen before. It can be exciting. God’s word is meant for you and me to listen and observe what it is saying.
