Have you ever felt overwhelmed and filled with panic, or have you experienced panic attacks.? Let me tell you, it is real. I have been watching this close. A family member has been having morning panic attacks. Given her mental status from the past, she is not making this up.
Some folks laugh or scoff at those who struggle with mental illness as if the person can turn it off at will. This is untrue. It is debilitating and very sad to watch. It makes me want to become more of an advocate for those who are struggling.
