Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. (Psalm 51:7 KJV)
I love the winter, especially when it snows. Its white flakes, when piled on the grass, sparkle in the sun.
It brings out those who like to ski at resorts and others who like to ride their sleds down hills in back yards and community parks.
I think of the scripture in Psalms that the writer speaks about. He explains if you purge me with hyssop, I shall be clean and if you wash me, I shall be whiter than snow.
Because of the sacrifice that Jesus made when he shed His blood on the cross for the remission of sin, I can be cleansed and become whiter than snow. My heart, that was once black with sin, is washed clean.
