Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB)
Letting go is not always as easy as it sounds. We seem to keep holding on to what we think is best for ourselves or others. It is not until we realize we cannot change without God do we find peace.
I like to fix things. I see something or someone who could be better. I calculate the process and go to work. Funny, isn’t it? It does happen. The one thing I always find is, it does not work that way. God has His way of doing things. It is then I must step back, and trust God do the work that only He can do.
Peace comes when we let go; when we realize God is in control. We keep praying and believing and trusting until we see how God works the thing out. He will work it out and, in the process, we grow in patience, endurance and trust.
