And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (NASB)
Changing your way of thinking is not always easy. You may have formed bad habits from childhood. Your parents may have passed down old wise tales that do not mean much. Growing up in grammar school you may picked up some words or fraises that are not acceptable as a woman or man of God.
God’s word in Romans 12:2 explains that you should renew you mind by reading God’s word. It shows you that when you do, you will begin to take on what God says instead of what the world is telling you.
When you read and follow God’s word, you will not be easily whisked away by every doctrine that you hear. Many false teachers are in the world today and if you do not know the scriptures in God’s word, you may be easily pulled away and begin to follow a lie.
Be on guard. Allow God’s word to wash over you daily until you are fully changed into His likeness.
