The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. (Psalm 9:9-10 NIV)
Life can throw punches we are not looking for. Health issues appear and jobs fail. Sometimes we are left wondering where to turn. We are overwhelmed and angry.
It is at these times we need encouragement. We need guidance and direction. God’s word tells us, if we know God, we can seek Him because He is trustworthy. He will never forsake us. When we feel overwhelmed in life, we can call upon His name and He is faithful to hear us and guide us through the rough paths. Rocky paths will be smoothed out as we take refuge in Christ.
